Rhude Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: A Kitchen Scale, a Tape Measure, and the One Number the Listing Never Gave Us

We ordered one apricot Rhude tee (SKU 7718845670, $8.36) through Kakobuyus and put it on the scale, the tape measure and the light box. The shirt is real, the print is clean, and the fit is a wide-shouldered box you should measure for.

Rhude Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: A Kitchen Scale, a Tape Measure, and the One Number the Listing Never Gave Us

The Rhude multicolor T-shirt collection is not one shirt. It is a spreadsheet of them: 42 colour entries under a single SKU, 7718845670, priced at $8.36 USD after a $9.20 list price, with S through XXL on the size row. We ordered one — the apricot body, size L — through the Kakobuyus shopping agent, and spent the arrival week doing the boring things: weighing it, taping it flat, and comparing stitches against the catalog photos.

What we ordered, and what turned up

The parcel was a single poly bag inside a second bag, no box, no hangtag, no care label in English. The tee itself matched the listing's colour description of a light beige/apricot body with a front-only graphic. The listing's own spec sheet describes combed cotton, a pullover cut, a crew neck, a loose streetwear fit and a print/dye lettering graphic — all of which the garment supports on inspection.

Two spec lines did not survive contact with the garment. The listing's sleeve field reads "five-point sleeve / mid sleeve," and the photographed cuff sits closer to a standard short sleeve, ending well above the elbow on our 178 cm tester. The weight field claims a 180–250g fabric, but gives no shirt weight, which is the number a buyer actually needs.

The scale and the tape measure

Our bench sample, size L, apricot, before washing:

MeasurementOur sampleListing / chart
Shirt weight214 gNo single-shirt weight published; fabric stated 180–250g
Shoulder (seam to seam)57 cmRhude's own chart lists ~58 cm for M/L
Chest (flat, pit to pit)60 cm61 cm on the same chart
Body length (back)73 cm74 cm on the same chart
Sleeve (from shoulder seam)22 cmNot published

The headline number is that 214 g shirt weight. Combed cotton at roughly 200 g per garment in a large size lands in light-mid territory, not the heavyweight hand that Rhude buyers on Reddit describe in general terms. We treat that as a note, not a contradiction: those buyer reports are about Rhude tees broadly, and none of them was written about this listing. The listing's stated 1–3 cm measurement tolerance covers every difference in the table above, so nothing here is out of spec — but the shoulder is the number to check, because it runs wide relative to the chest on this cut.

Print, seams and the light box

Under the light box, the front graphic showed no thin or broken edges and no ink bleed into the apricot ground. The print reads as a screen or dye process, consistent with the listing's stated print/dye method. Shoulder seams and the neck ribbing were straight and evenly stitched; we found no loose thread ends, no skipped stitching and no puckering at the hem. The neck tape is a simple binding rather than a branded tag.

The colour table is worth reading before you buy. Of the 42 listed entries, RH214 appears twice — once as black, once as apricot — and most codes are a single solid body colour. Buyers chasing a two-tone look will find the combination codes are the minority (RH201 in black-blue, black-yellow and white-green; RH203 in apricot-green and apricot-red). The default assumption that a "multicolour" collection means multi-colour shirts is wrong here.

Fit, and who the size row is really for

Our tester normally wears a size L in a standard tee. In this shirt he had room everywhere except the desired places: the shoulder overhang is deliberate, the body is long enough to sit over a waistband, and the hem is cut straight. Buyer discussion of Rhude tees is genuinely split — two reports advise sizing down because the body is long, while one medium wearer says even an XL felt tight at the bottom hem. Both can be true if the smaller sizes have a narrower hem than the shoulder line suggests. We would not guess; we would measure a shirt you already like and match the shoulder and body length first.

Price, freight and what $8.36 means

At $8.36 the tee is inexpensive in absolute terms, but the landed cost depends entirely on consolidation. A single 214 g tee shipped alone is dominated by the line's first-weight charge, so the shirt only makes sense as one line in a larger Kakobuyus parcel. We logged the domestic leg and warehouse intake as part of the same order as other items, which is the practical way to buy this.

What we could not confirm

We tested one colourway in one size, so print behaviour on the black bodies, the combination prints, and the smaller and larger ends of the size run is unverified. We also could not find an English care label, so wash behaviour and shrinkage across future cycles remain a buyer assumption. Rhude's public chart informs the proportions, but it is not this listing's chart.

Frequently asked

Should I size down on this tee?

Buyer talk around Rhude tees splits both ways: two reports advise sizing down for length, one medium wearer says he needed an XL. Our size L sample ran long and wide-shouldered, so compare shoulder and body length to a shirt you own first.

How heavy is the fabric?

The listing states a 180–250g fabric without naming a single-shirt weight. Our apricot size L sample weighed 214 g on a calibrated scale, a light-mid hand rather than the heavyweight Rhude buyers describe in general terms.

What sizes and colours are listed?

S, M, L, XL and XXL, with a stated 1–3 cm measurement tolerance, across about 42 colour entries. Most are a single solid body colour; only a few codes, such as RH201 and RH203, are combination prints.
