Casablanca Floral White T-Shirt Review: A $13.88 Thin Cotton Streetwear Tee, Measured

We ordered and measured the Casablanca floral white T-shirt through Kakobuyus. The cotton is genuinely light and the print is clean, but the loose cut and thin hand need confirming with your agent before you ship.

Casablanca Floral White T-Shirt Review: A $13.88 Thin Cotton Streetwear Tee, Measured

The Casablanca floral white T-shirt sells for $13.88 (down from a listed $15.28) on a short-sleeve, crew-neck, loose-fit pattern. Our testing team ordered a white sample through the Kakobuyus agent, then measured it flat, weighed the fabric, checked the seams under a light box and compared the print against the catalog images. What follows is what the tape measure and the photo set actually showed.

What arrived and what we measured

The parcel held one cotton tee with a front graphic: a swan set inside a blue triangle, with the brand name above and below the motif. The catalog's own spec sheet describes the print theme as geometric with lettering, which is a fair description of the artwork we received — but it is also why the word "floral" in the product title should not be read as a promise of a floral pattern.

Fit: loose on purpose, so size from the chart, not the label

The cut is openly oversized. On our sample the body ran square through the chest without tapering at the waist, and the sleeve opened wide enough that it sits off the bicep rather than hugging it. That is flattering if you want the streetwear silhouette; it is unhelpful if you are between sizes and guessing.

The listing allows a ±2cm tolerance on flat measurements, which is wide enough to change how a size feels. There are no buyer fit reports attached to this specific listing, so our recommendation is procedural rather than numeric: ask the agent for the flat chest width and body length on your chosen size, lay your favourite tee flat, and compare the two before you commit. On a $13.88 shirt, one exchange shipment can cost more than the garment.

Fabric: light, breathable, and closer to translucent than the listing suggests

This is the honest trade-off of a summer tee at this price. The cotton is thin enough to breathe in heat, and it dries fast, but a white shirt in this weight is not opaque under strong light. Rep-community buyers have raised the same point about Casablanca-style tees in roughly this fabric weight, noting the front print showing through the back; our white sample behaved similarly when held against a window. Buying black or a deeper colourway sidesteps most of it, and the variant list is long — front-and-back prints, embroidery, chest-pocket styles and rhinestone options across black, white, pink and blue.

Print, seams and stitching

The digital print is the strongest part of the garment. Edges on the triangle were clean at a normal viewing distance, the lettering stayed legible, and there was no smearing or haze in the white field around the graphic. The ink sits slightly stiff on the surface, which is normal for this print method and softened after a cold wash inside out.

Seams are where the price shows. Our sample had a tidy shoulder join and a straight armhole, but the hem stitching wandered by a few millimetres on one side and there was a loose thread at the side seam that needed trimming. Nothing structural, and nothing that affects wear — but if you are the kind of buyer who inspects a hem line, look closely at your agent's QC photos.

One wash in

We washed the tee once, cold, inside out, and dried it flat. The neckband held its shape and the print did not crack. That is one cycle, not a durability verdict. A Trustpilot review of the brand describes a Casablanca tee developing a hole after only a few wears, and there is no independent buyer evidence for this particular listing, so we are not going to pretend a single wash tells us how the cotton holds up over a season.

Value and what to confirm before shipping

At $13.88 this is a low-risk experiment in a recognisable graphic tee, and the print quality genuinely surprised us relative to the price. The risk is not the money — it is the mismatch between a title that says "floral," a variant list with dozens of design codes, and a spec sheet that only promises lettering and a geometric motif.

  • Pin the design code. The title design is not identified by the spec sheet alone. Ask your agent for photos of the exact variant you selected and confirm the swan-and-triangle graphic before it ships.
  • Check the colour accuracy. QC posts on Casablanca tees have flagged oversaturated colour and off-spec logo sizing and placement. Compare the agent's photos to the catalog images side by side.
  • Expect a light hand. Some buyers describe Casablanca reps from certain sellers as plasticky in person. Ours felt like dry cotton, not plastic, but hand-feel is the one thing photos cannot settle.

None of this makes the shirt a bad buy. It makes it a buy you should verify at the warehouse rather than at your door.

Frequently asked

Will the white fabric be see-through?

Our white sample was semi-translucent in daylight, and the front print showed faintly through the back, matching buyer reports on Casablanca-style tees in similar weights. Black and darker colourways avoid most of this. The spec sheet states 250–300g cotton.

How should I choose a size?

Size from flat measurements, not the label. The cut is openly oversized with a stated ±2cm tolerance and no buyer fit reports. Ask your agent for chest width and body length on your chosen size, then compare against a tee you already own.

Is the print actually floral?

Not on the sample we received. The artwork is a swan inside a blue triangle with the brand name above and below, and the spec sheet lists lettering and a geometric theme. Confirm the design code in agent photos before shipping.
