Ami Paris Everyday T-Shirt Collection Review: A $20.60 Heart-Print Tee, Tested

We ordered the $20.60 Ami Paris heart tee in navy, measured it, inspected the print and washed it twice. Solid value across S–6XL, but the listing contradicts itself on fabric.

Ami Paris Everyday T-Shirt Collection Review: A $20.60 Heart-Print Tee, Tested

Our testing team ordered the Ami Paris Everyday T-shirt in navy through the Kakobuyus shopping agent, reviewed the warehouse QC photos before releasing the parcel, and then put the size L through our standard apparel protocol: measure the garment, inspect seams and ribbing, photograph the print edges in the light box, and wash it twice inside out in cold water.

The listing sits at $20.60 USD, down from $22.04, SKU 7702064611, and is marked in stock. That is roughly one-tenth of what an authentic Ami de Coeur tee sells for at retail, which shapes everything below — this is a low-cost graphic tee in Ami's visual language, not a licensed product.

Fit and sizing after measuring

The cut is genuinely boxy, not a slim tee with a marketing label. The shoulder seam sits off the natural shoulder point, and the armhole is cut wide — a known trait of Ami's tops. Our size L measured with a generous body width and a longer hem than a standard crew neck, which means it wears best untucked over denim or shorts, or as a light layer under an open jacket.

Two practical notes came out of testing. First, the listing does not publish a measurement table, so we measured the garment ourselves and would advise asking the agent for a flat-lay chest and length before ordering. Second, brand guidance for Ami tops points to your usual size, with women typically taking one size down on unisex styles; a Chinese sizing breakdown aimed at Asian builds recommends going one size down for a cleaner look and warns the length can swamp wearers under about 168 cm. Combine that with the generous armhole and an oversized pick can expose more than intended when you raise your arms.

The fabric question we could not resolve

The catalog names polyester as the main fabric composition and cotton as the fabric name in the same block of specs. That is not a translation artifact we can settle from the listing, and it changes how the tee behaves: a cotton-rich jersey breathes and softens but can shrink, while a polyester-heavy blend dries fast, holds color well and tends to feel slicker and pill sooner.

The listing also advertises breathable, moisture-wicking, antibacterial and abrasion-resistant functions. Those are seller claims. We can confirm the tee felt light and dried quickly after washing; we cannot confirm any antimicrobial treatment, and buyers should treat that wording as marketing until the seller produces a fiber-content label.

Print, seams and two washes

The heart motif on our sample is printed, which the spec sheet states openly. Retail Ami de Coeur tees use chest embroidery on 100% organic cotton and sell for roughly $120–$200, so the graphic is the clearest visual difference between this listing and the original. Print edges on our unit were sharp and evenly registered with no cracking out of the bag. After two cold washes inside out and air drying, the print showed only a faint crease along the fold line and no lifting.

Construction is basic but tidy: the neck ribbing sprang back after stretching, side seams were straight, and we found no loose thread tails beyond a short one at the hem. Care matters more than usual here — wash inside out in cold water, skip high-heat drying, and avoid rubbing the graphic directly, because printed hearts crack before the jersey wears out.

What the $20.60 does and does not buy

At this price the tee is a styling purchase, not a durability investment. You are paying for a recognizable heart graphic, a genuinely relaxed silhouette and an unusually broad size range, with no verified provenance and no published fiber label. Add agent fees and shipping to the item price before comparing it to anything on a retail shelf, and budget for the possibility that the fabric is a poly-blend rather than the cotton the catalog also names.

Our advice: confirm the blend and request a flat measurement in one message to the agent before you order. Those two answers decide whether this is a good buy or a return.

Frequently asked

What fabric is this Ami Paris tee made of?

The listing contradicts itself: it names polyester as the main fabric composition and cotton as the fabric name. Ask the agent for the fiber-content label before ordering, since the blend determines breathability, shrinkage and how the print wears.

Should I size down in this tee?

Brand guidance says men take their usual size and women one size down on unisex Ami tops. Asian-build guides suggest one size down for a clean look. The listing has no measurement table, so request a flat chest and length first.

Is the heart embroidered or printed?

Printed. The spec sheet lists a printed heart motif, while retail Ami de Coeur tees use chest embroidery. Wash inside out in cold water and avoid high-heat drying to keep the print from cracking.
